The commercial Law Firm Banking Group, is a specialty group within the Commercial Bank at Webster Bank that provides banking services designed for the legal community and have established relationships with law firms of different sizes, ranging from smaller practices, mid-sized firms to the nation’s leading corporate law firms. We help law firms and their attorneys with escrow accounts using Virtual Account Manager, IOLA or attorney trust accounts, credit facilities, cash management services such as Bank Check Express.
We our looking for a candidate to assist us in sales and marketing efforts, law firm market research analysis of our IOLA expansion states including but not limited to FL, CA, TX, PA, and deepen our relationship with existing clients with products such as Commercial Card. The candidate would gain hand-on experience working with the nation’s leading law firms and assisting our team implement and deliver on the products and services mentioned above.
Summer Intern Program duration: June 2 - August 8, 2025.
Responsibilities:
- Help identify prospect law firms in IOLA expansion states
- Identify clients using outside vendors for their Commercial Card and Merchant Services and partner with TM sales rep to set up follow up calls
- Assist Client Associates & Managing Directors with client meeting preparation including, perform research on law firm practice areas and key decision makers
- Enter contact information into contact management system
- Research law firms in existing footprint area including CT and MA that would fit our LFB segment
- Support credit portfolio manager with upcoming loan or line of credits renewals if needed.

Education, Skills, and Experience Requirements for Interns:
- Current undergraduate rising Junior or Senior enrolled in an accredited college or university who is pursuing a degree in related field and has an interest in the banking/financial services industry
- Resourceful, enthusiastic, and proactive
- Highly organized
- Demonstrated strong attention to detail
- Experience creating and delivering presentations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
- Ability to learn quickly and solve problems
- Strong analytical skills
- Collaborative and inclusive team player
- Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Legally eligible to work in the U.S.

The estimated salary range for this position is $20.00 HR to $22.00 HR. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
