Summer Intern Program duration: June 2 - August 8, 2025.
Position Description:
Under close supervision, performs entry level professional duties of moderate difficulty providing the opportunity for professional training.
Performs assigned duties to acquire knowledge of methods, procedures, and standards required for successful performance.
Performs a variety of developmental assignments in assigned area under the direction of more senior-level staff.
Shadow various roles within the lending department to gain a well-rounded understanding of the line of business.
Contributes individually or as part of a team to support the designated business unit. Assists with problem solving to maintain operational excellence and platform stability.
Works towards goals and objectives and participates in special projects as defined and assigned by management.
Assists in the coordination of meetings, agendas, events and calls for the lending team.
Accompanies professional level staff on assignments as appropriate.
Improve the organization and maintenance of internal files, folders, and internal Sharepoint site.
Prepares and analyze loan reports and presentations.
Prepares and draft communications relevant to work being completed.
Assists in identifying and implementing process improvements, market research, industry benchmarks, and analysis.
Obtains exposure to the lending technology systems.
Location: Southington, CT (Hybrid)
Qualifications:
Rising Juniors and Seniors who are actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university
Interested in the financial services industry or Webster’s various lines of business (Bank Operations, etc.)
Resourceful, enthusiastic, and self-motivated
Highly organized with strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to learn quickly and strong work ethic
Collaborative and inclusive team player

The estimated hourly range for this position is $20/hour USD to $22/hour USD. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
