Position Summary
Responsible for general accounting and loan accounting functions for the bank and subsidiaries. Prepare journal entries, reconcile sub-ledgers, and produce monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting. Ensure accurate, complete, and timely transaction processing. May assist in implementing changes to processes necessary to comply with changes in accounting regulations. Acts as a liaison to members of the accounting department and other departments across the organization.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
  • Assist in the preparation of daily reconciliations
  • Produce monthly loan reporting
  • Daily monitoring of yield reports
  • Prepare monthly account roll forwards and related reconciliation and analysis
  • Prepare monthly loan reporting package by line of business to supplement the close and earnings package
  • Assist loan accounting issues, FAS 91, non-accrual, TDR analysis etc.
  • Prepare asset quality reports as required
  • Account analysis and reconciliation
  • Ad hoc accounting research as assigned and special projects as needed

Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Advanced degree (Associates, Bachelor's) in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience
  • A minimum of 2 years related experience
  • Experience with loan accounting is required along with familiarity in accounting for loans and yields
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to interface with all levels of organization
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and team orientation
  • Exceptional analytical, problem solving and multi-tasking skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft office (Excel, Word, etc)
