The Metadata and MDM Leader is responsible for developing and maintaining a comprehensive metadata management framework within the Enterprise Data Office (EDO). This role confirms accurate documentation of data assets and tracks data lineage to enhance transparency and understanding of data flows. The leader is also responsible for developing and implementing the master data management strategy within the Enterprise Data Office (EDO). This role looks after the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of master data across the organization, collaborates with data custodians to define data standards, and oversees initiatives to improve data quality and governance related to master data management.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage data lineage for data sources and maintain inventory of upstream data custodians / controls.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive metadata management framework to ensure accurate documentation of data assets.
Collaborate with data custodians and stewards to define and standardize metadata definitions and classifications.
Monitor and ensure the quality and consistency of metadata across the organization.
Facilitate the integration of metadata management tools and technologies into existing data systems.
Document and communicate data lineage information to enhance transparency of data flows.
Develop and implement the master data management strategy.
Confirm the accuracy and consistency of master data across the organization.
Oversee the creation and maintenance of data standards and policies.
Collaborate with data custodians to define and manage master data domains.
Provide training and support for teams using master data systems.
Present to senior leadership on master data metrics and compliance to stakeholders.
Education, Experience and Skill qualifications:
Advanced degree in a related field (Finance, Accounting) preferred.
15+ years of experience in a related field and 10+ years of management experience.
Experience working in a regulatory environment.
Experience working with complex data and information
Ability to analyze complex data and information.
Excellent presentation skills. Ability to present in a succinct manner to senior management.
Experience educating stakeholders and partners on complex data related concepts and initiatives.
Ability to lead a team of individual contributors.
The estimated base salary range for this position is $210,000 USD to $225,000 USD. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
