The Senior Managing Director, Relationship Manager, will be responsible for building and deepening relationships with each Broker Dealer and Clearing Firm that partners with interLINK. This includes the relationship management of our current product offering, interLINK Insured Sweep, as well as future product verticals which include but are not limited to SBLOC, LOC, Fully Paid Lending, 15c3.3 accounts, Trust Space and Bank to Bank Reciprocal.  These product verticals may be located within interLINK as well as in other areas of the bank including treasury management and commercial banking, so this individual will be required to manage individuals and output across various areas in the bank.  This individual will be responsible for managing the client relationship at a holistic level and will be the conduit for information from the bank to the client.  This role will interface with a variety of internal areas including technology, operations, sales and other areas consumer and commercial bank areas of Webster Bank.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be the voice to the client - serve as lead relationship manager for each of interLINK’s 15 Broker Dealer clients.
  • Interface with senior level management (CFO/Product Manager) at each of the Broker Dealer’s and cultivate deep relationships
  • Work closely with group leads at interLINK (Operations/Technology/Sales) as well as senior levels within other areas of Webster to ensure client relationship is managed with a white glove service model.
  • Take inputs from various areas and figure out most strategic way to deliver message to client
  • Troubleshoot any issues with the Broker Dealers and see resolution of open items through to completion.
  • Help support new product builds including SBLOC, FPL, LOC, 15c3.3, Bank Trust, Reciprocal Bank
  • Assisting with generating new business opportunities by regularly discussing opportunities with existing clients
  • Aim to renew all existing customer contracts, deepen client relationship with cross sell opportunities
  • Forward upselling and cross-selling opportunities to the sales team and to other areas of the bank including treasury management and commercial banking
  • Onsite visits with each client at least once annually.
  • Support at all industry conferences - SIFMA, etc
  • Stay up to date with market relevant information and news. Help cultivate strategies based on new opportunities
  • Product Development - listen to client needs and be able to share internally and participate in the development of new product solutions to support them

Skills and Experience:

  • Four-year undergraduate degree preferred
  • Excellent detail-oriented skills with an eye towards process improvement
  • Proven experience as a relationship manager in the cash sweep space
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Good individual and team performer
  • High School diploma or GED is required

The estimated salary range for this position is $200,000.00 to $250,000.00. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
