The Data Stewardship Leader is responsible for fostering strong partnerships between the Enterprise Data Office (EDO) and key business stakeholders. The Lead oversees that business needs are effectively communicated and translated into data governance requirements, while also advocating for the interests of the business in data-related discussions by facilitating collaboration and alignment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key business stakeholders to understand their data needs and challenges.

  • Act as the primary point of contact between the Enterprise Data Office and business units regarding data governance initiatives.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define data management requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.

  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between business units and data governance teams to promote data stewardship.

  • Monitor the effectiveness of data governance initiatives from a business perspective.

  • Provide training and resources to business teams on data governance principles and practices.

  • Advocate for the importance of data governance in driving business value and decision-making.

  • Be the primary point of contact for Data Stewards in each business unit. Provide any direction required.

Education, Experience, Skill qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in a related field (Finance, Accounting)

  • 15+ years of experience in a related field and 10+ years of management experience.

  • Experience working in a regulatory environment.

  • Experience working with complex data and information

  • Ability to analyze complex data and information.

  • Excellent presentation skills.

  • Ability to present to senior management.

  • Experience educating stakeholders and partners on complex data related concepts and initiatives.

  • Ability to lead a team of individual contributors.

The estimated base salary range for this position is $210,000 USD to $225,000 USD.  Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
