Job summary:
The Senior Talent Acquisition Partner is a recruiting subject matter expert and is responsible for full cycle recruiting to complex business lines (Commercial, Technology, Corporate Functions, etc.) and professional to executive level hiring. The Sr. TA Partner develops strategies for sourcing talent for Webster Bank through various channels including electronic mediums, referrals, direct sourcing, campus/job fair events and agency/vendor resources. They will be required to make candidate recommendations to hiring managers, negotiate salaries, make offers and properly disposition candidates while creating a strong candidate and hiring manager experience. They are responsible for building strong relationships with Webster’s business leaders, hiring managers, candidates and all internal HR Partners. All Senior TA Partners will have an active role in TA Projects/Programs (Workday/College Relations/Manager Training/EVP) and be a champion for Diversity.
Responsibilities:
- Leads the Recruitment function for complex business lines that hire at the professional to executive levels that require more complex negotiation and business acumen
- Manages and drives full cycle recruitment processes from requisition management, candidate sourcing, candidate interviews and recommendations, salary negotiations and offers. Coach and counsel hiring managers on full cycle hiring process.
- Actively builds strong business acumen and develops multifaceted recruiting strategies in support of organizational workforce needs, both current and anticipated.
- Builds a strong diverse candidate pipeline and is involved with Webster Banks’ diversity initiatives; works closely with BRG’s
- Recruits and hires the right people for the right jobs at the right time
- Discovers and applies innovative sourcing strategies for complex level positions and makes recommendations to hiring managers on candidate qualifications, culture fit and compensation.
- Communicates with business leaders, hiring managers and stakeholders throughout the recruitment process to ensure appropriate expectations.
- Builds strong relationships with business partners/hiring managers and internal HR Partners (HRBP’s, Comp, HR Tech, Ops, Benefits, etc.) as well as candidates so to maximize hiring manager and candidate experience.
- Supports the HR and Talent Acquisition Strategic Initiatives and is an active participant in TA Programs/Initiatives.
- Is aware and curious about industry best practices; demonstrate expertise in candidate sourcing strategies and resources, interview techniques, pre-hire assessment and compensation/offer negotiations. Make recommendations for process improvements, partnerships and technology that will better talent acquisition services.
- Is an active participate in community functions, university relationships and networking groups.
- Raises concerns on market conditions, compensation, and other competitive insights that will help Webster bank gain a competitive edge.
- An Ambassador of Webster Bank at all times digitally and in person
Education, Experience and Skills Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required.
- 6+ years of direct HR experience, in which at least 4 years in a full cycle Talent Acquisition function.
- Experienced Recruiter in placing professional and senior level roles
- Creative thinker that embraces innovation to streamline processes
- Experience in developing strategic and tactical sourcing plans for recruiting needs
- Strong relationship building skills with candidates and hiring managers. Can manage both candidate and hiring manager expectations
- Strong learning agility and capable of assuming Talent Acquisition related projects and programs
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks with tight deadlines simultaneously
- A team player attitude and can work towards a common goal
- Results driven attitude
- In depth knowledge of local, state and federal employment laws.
- Excellent communication and follow up skills.
- Strength in leveraging technology to enable efficiencies and make processes more streamlined
- Financial Services/Banking experience a plus
- Demonstrated problem solving, conflict resolution, consulting, and negotiation skills.
- Experience using an effective applicant tracking system
This position will be based in our Waterbury, CT location with a Hybrid work schedule.
The estimated salary range for this position is $75,000USD to $90,000USD. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
