Summary: 

Execute and oversee monthly processing activities for IT financial processing. Under general direction, analyze, research, and project all documentation of the institutions financial performances. Conduct and document complex financial analysis projects. Provide functional advice or training to less-experienced financial analyst positions.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Execute month end financial processing activities, including but not limited to:
  1. Invoice processing: Preparing and tracking IT related invoices that they are received and processed as needed.
  2. Accruals: Ensuring all expenses are accrued for as needed if not yet processed for the month and make required journal entries
  3. Reclasses: applying expenses where they need to be relocated each month and making the required journal entries.
  4. Recurring Journal Entries: Maintaining all recurring journal entries to keep current
  5. Assist in processing IT related Purchase Orders
  6. Oracle reporting: Running routine reports to support operations
  • Analyze results of studies, reports, and analyses. Prepare complex financial analysis projects to summarize current and projected financial information.
  • Research and prepare financial reports.
  • Manage and review the preparation, accuracy, and timeliness of monthly financial analysis.
  • Conduct special studies to analyze complex financial actions
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of budgets and forecasts.
  • Establish, modify, document, and implement methods and control procedures.
  • Assist other analysts, consultants, and managers with complex analysis.
  • Share technical expertise with others. Recommend process improvements. Provide functional advice or training to less experienced financial analysts.

Skills:

  • Broad knowledge of the core Finance principles and basic understanding of the corporate accounting process (forecast, invoicing, chargeback, accruals...etc), preferably experience and/or understanding IT.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and deliver own output exercising judgement and discretion consistently.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, and/or related business field.
  • 5+ years’ experience , accounting and finance experience preferred, some financial management experience required.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative data-analysis; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions
  • Strong to expert skills in data transformation using MS Excel or Access
  • Ability to work well both independently and in teams
  • Excellent organization and communication skills, both written and verbal

The estimated salary range for this position is $85,000 USD to $100,000 USD. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
