The Senior Applications Developer position is a current role within the Information Technology team that provides skilled technology analysis, development and installation capabilities within the existing IT Support team. This position would be 100% dedicated to the Network Segmentation project to implement critical business applications behind the protected data domain (PDD). The position will partner closely with Information Security and Infrastructure to build key integrations and/or technology alternatives to ensure the key business applications meet cyber-security; customer and business requirements.This position is vital to ensure the bank meets the cyber-security requirements to protect customer information.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Identify and define applications architecture, components and interfaces, design of data model, data/information flows, and security design.
  2. Provide practical and expert knowledge of technical design alternatives and their associated implications.
  3. Deliver designs and programs for new and existing products; keep current on best practices in technology and market trends.
  4. Identify data needs, including access, security, quality, and maintenance requirements.
  5. Recommend design alternatives, considering benefits of and limitations to users based on in-depth understanding of business needs; may code very complex or high risk components.
  6. In absence of Lead, provide technical direction and coaching to lower level Developers.
Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in directly related field required.
  • 5+ years of complex software development experience..
  • Proven ability in one or more programming languages and development tools.
  • Highly developed understanding of structure analysis, technical design, and database and file access methods.
  • Excellent communication skills.
