 The Senior Analyst has broad banking knowledge, high-level analytical skills, and the ability to work independently and produce a quality work product. The Senior Analyst will perform accounting and operational functions related to Treasury products including investments, bank debt and derivatives, in accordance with bank policies and procedures and financial controls. 

 Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Process daily trade activity and manage trade settlement of various systems including Bank of New York, FED wire/securities transfer systems, and CFTC clearing facilities.
  • Perform reconcilement of general ledger accounts to sub system with timely resolution of exception items.
  • Perform asset verification of prime brokers and custodial safekeeping.
  • Manage payments for bank and customer positions including reconcilement and resolution of payment issues.
  • Liaison with front office on all operational issues, including ad-hoc requests.
  • Liaison with third party vendors to manage reference data, reporting requirements, and system maintenance.
  • Assist with SOX, Internal Audit and External Audit requests as needed.
  • Prepare reporting schedules as needed for SEC and Regulatory requirements.
  • Participation in projects as required.

Education, Skills, & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance.
  • 5+ years of Accounting or Operations experience.
  • Experience in Treasury, or Treasury Accounting/Operations with knowledge of financial products and systems including fixed income securities, derivatives, foreign exchange, cash management clearing systems.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with colleagues and other business partners across the company.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft products is preferred.
