Provide Webster Private Bank (WPB) loan products to target clients and prospects, typically high net worth individuals, in support of overall objectives through origination, underwriting, closing, and management of WPB loans.
 
Major Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Manage a portfolio of Private Banking Loans to ensure credit quality, to cross sell other banking products and to maximize profitability for Webster Bank.
  2. Assist the Private Bankers in the achievement of new business goals and objectives by leading the structuring, pricing and underwriting of new loan originations.
  3. Initiate referrals for investment management, deposits, and other products and services.
  4. Actively market WPB's full range of products and services both internally and externally. Work with the Private Bankers on executing a marketing initiative to include client calls, center of influence meetings, internal and external presentations and product training.
  5. Meet all risk management objectives with strict adherence to all Bank policies and procedures.
  6. Attend ongoing compliance and product training seminars.
  7. Provide WPB clients and prospects with a level of customer service consistently exceeding their expectations.
  8. Work effectively with fellow team members. Must be committed to the overall success of WPB demonstrated by willingness to assist others and provide effective back up support as needed.
  9. Exercise strong professionalism and leadership skills. Serve as a role model to communicate Webster values.
Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree required, MBA preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in commercial lending/ commercial real estate lending/ private banking lending.
  • Broad understanding of credit risk management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
