The Managing Director of Portfolio Analytics & Credit Research is responsible to support key initiatives to enhance the credit organization’s portfolio monitoring capabilities through use of sophisticated analytics. The Managing Director will present analyses to senior executive level audiences and in senior credit risk committees.

  • * Enhance Credit Risk Tolerance and portfolio concentration monitoring approach. Envision, design, built out concentration monitoring processes. Identify, monitor, analyze concentration risk for $50B portfolio.     
  • * Support development of bottoms-up credit stress test framework using advanced understanding quantitative analytics and credit deal structures and risk characteristics. 
  • * Develop portfolio wide analytics to assess rank ordering of risk based on underlying deal characteristics. 
  • * Enhanced portfolio monitoring capabilities and analytics through automation. 
  • * Continue to enhance portfolio analytics framework with increased risk insights & implement more comprehensive packages with usage of external benchmarking & advanced analytics.  
  • * Continue to assist in enhancement of underlying data & processes that serves as backbone of Team activities 
  • * Support ongoing strategic initiatives & credit risk management activities as assigned. Activities may include, but not limited to process enhancements, data remediation, Dual Risk Rating & portfolio analysis enhancements etc. 
  • * Mentor junior associates. 
  • * Other ad hoc activities as assigned.  
Experience:
  • Bachelor's and/or Masters Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Quantitative discipline or similar preferred
  • 15 or more years’ experience in commercial credit risk, banking or credit risk management with an advanced understanding of bank lending products, banking regulations, credit risk analytics, lending policies, procedures. In-depth understanding of credit structuring and risk attributes.
  • Strong quantitative background. CFA or FRM designation would be a strong plus.
  • Prior people management experience and an ability to motivate and inspire a team. Exceptional leadership and organizational skills and good interpersonal skills.
  • Superior oral and written skills and ability to prioritize and work with minimal supervision under unpredictable and dynamic conditions; Strong self-start initiative, curious mindset for analytics, research, and building processes.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills and ability to work with short deadlines; Research, analytical, interpretation and problem-solving skills
  • Strong Excel knowledge, including pivot tables, macros, and functions; Prefer candidates who has ability to code in SQL, R and or Python.

The estimated base salary range for this position is $170,000 USD to $200,000 USD.  Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation
