The Liquid Credit Group-Head (GH) will be responsible for overseeing leadership of all activities within the unit, while maintaining primary contact and execution with sell-side banks. In conjunction with the Director (as well as junior staff), supervise portfolio management activities including evaluation and underwriting processes. Will perform and supervise tasks consistent with portfolio optimization to maximize risk/return relationship, within defined risk parameters. Supervise internal reporting and engagement with internal constituents to fulfill defined bank (asset) goals. Responsible for effectively managing the cohesion and efficacy of the team to ensure that Group objectives are achieved. Position is NYC-based (flexibility possible)
Responsibilities:
- Oversee portfolio management activities, including: asset monitoring, asset disposition and asset identification/evaluation.
- Manage team to ensure that underwriting and monitoring process are executed with the utmost accuracy, efficacy and timeliness.
- Maintain engagement with sell-side banks, enhance relationships and broaden intelligence gathering. Execute asset purchases (including new issue commitments/allocations) and sales.
- Monitor, evaluate and analyze market, macroeconomic and fundamental industry trends to ensure portfolio optimization within applicable relative value framework.
- Manage all aspects of team engagement to encourage proactive realization of team goals.
- Ownership of credit policies and adherence to regulatory guidelines
- Maintain direct engagement with risk and senior management constituents while managing fulfillment of internal reporting requirements.
Education Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent (MBA and/or CFA preferred).
- 15-20 years underwriting and portfolio management experience (with a preference for leveraged finance).
- Superior written and verbal communication skills.
- Established relationships across all top institutional sell-side banks.
- Direct experience in performing execution responsibilities consistent with responsibilities described above.

The estimated salary range for this position is $186,000.00 to $275,000.00. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
