Position Summary

Managing Director, Enterprise Risk Management will lead the transformation and ongoing management of the GRC Program and systems. The individual will drive the GRC strategy to achieve long-term strategic objectives around risk data management, aggregation and reporting in line with regulatory expectations and industry best practices. This individual will be responsible for advancing the organization's GRC program and goals, leading the implementation and maintenance of target-state GRC platform, creating and maintaining GRC business user policy and documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the execution of the GRC transformation initiative, implementing a combination of manual and system-driven risk programs into the target state GRC platform.

  • Develop GRC strategy to ensure system enables a universal language of risks and controls, comparable risk assessment results across control functions and facilitates organized risk aggregation process while minimizing manual processing and reducing duplicative efforts.

  • Oversee a cross-functional team of implementation partners, consultants and internal stakeholders in defining business/program requirements and determining system functionality to support successful risk programs.

  • Maintain expert knowledge of Risk Management GRC Tool and work with the vendor and internal IT department to execute system upgrades. Provides leadership to effectively implement the risk management framework in the GRC platform.

  • Lead the development of policies, procedures and tools to assist with the administration and support of the GRC platform for users.

  • Effectively deliver communications to various stakeholders across all levels of the organization to support successful implementation and ongoing use of the GRC system.

  • Oversee development of aggregation methodologies to support risk reporting for a large financial institution.

  • Leads change. Guides others and inspires strong organizational performance through periods of transformation, ambiguity, and complexity. Drive operational improvements through system implementation and beyond.

  • Works collaboratively across programs and business units to gather and understand business requirements and translates them into system requirements.

  • Leads successful project implementations. Delivers on time and within project timelines and budget.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related field required; advanced degree preferred.

  • 10+ years of experience in Risk Management, including minimum 5+ years GRC Tool implementation and management. Program management experience with enterprise-wide impact required.

  • Project management experience with large, multi-phased projects, system implementations and administration experience a plus.

  • Deep experience/knowledge of compliance and risk management concepts, regulatory and audit control standards,

  • Consultative aptitude to support cross-organizational GRC goals and objectives

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities/deadlines and interact with employees at all levels.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

This role has a hybrid work schedule and can be based in our NYC, Jericho, Southington, Stamford, Rhode Island or Massachusetts.

The estimated base salary range for this position is $182,000 USD to $200,000 USD.  Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
