The Privacy Compliance Manager Privacy is responsible for assisting in the identification, assessment, and management of privacy risk across the organization and supporting the impact analysis and adherence of evolving privacy regulatory obligations.  The Privacy Compliance Manager reports to the Director, Privacy Compliance.  This role is designed to assist in the execution of each of the Compliance Management Program elements related to privacy risk, including risk assessments, complaint reviews, third party compliance assessments, and issue management.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute day to day functions of the Webster Compliance Management Program for privacy risk, such as complaint resolution assessment, policy updates and changes, and Privacy Notice maintenance.
  • Complete Data Privacy Impact Assessments for business initiatives to ensure appropriate Privacy by Design considerations.
  • Develop and monitor Key Metrics to identify emerging privacy risk.
  • Partner with Business Lines and Technology teams to ensure timely identification and mitigation of privacy risks and issues.
  • Assist with investigating and remediation of privacy related incidents.
  • Perform risk assessments for applicable privacy regulations, including Regulation P, GLBA, HIPAA, TCPA and CAN-SPAM.

Educations, Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or technology-related field
  • Four to seven years’ experience in risk management or an audit role with a focus on risk management
  • Practical knowledge of privacy principles and related risk, including the Gramm-Leach Bliley Act (GLBA)
  • Knowledge of Health Insurance Protection and Portability Act (HIPAA) preferred
  • Experience with interpretation of privacy regulatory requirements
  • Awareness of incident management practices and ability to assist with analysis and response
  • Detail-Oriented focus with ability to provide consistent high quality work product
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and can translate requirements into operational controls
  • A collaborate team player able to work across functional areas and build productive working relationships. Proficient with Microsoft Office Tools.

The estimated base salary range for this position is $105,000 USD to $130,000 USD.  Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
