We are looking for an ambitious, engaging person to join our team as a Corporate Communications Manager. As a member of this team, you will have the opportunity to influence our colleague experience, deepen colleague engagement, improve processes and support strategic initiatives. You will support a variety of internal and project based communications, support quarterly leadership events, and create ongoing dialogue with key internal audiences.

As the Corporate Communications Manager, you will create impact by assisting with the development and implementation of integrated communication strategies. Support colleague engagement efforts by fostering a clear understanding of Webster’s business and goals, while driving and supporting its culture.  This key player will provide consultative and/or direct communications support to internal clients, ensuring timely, consistent communications and messaging.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Content Development

Write colleague messaging to support department initiatives, product launches and promotions, organization announcements and colleague engagement initiatives via email, intranet, and videos.

Provide direct support to broad corporate initiatives including crisis and emergency communications, new hire onboarding and integration of new acquisitions.

Champion Webster’s culture and engage colleagues through creation of compelling content shared across a full array of digital and traditional communications channels, including the intranet, email, video, audio and print.

Collaborate on the design and execution of recognition programs, special events and communication campaign initiatives.

Assist with the creation of key communications, e.g. quarterly leadership meeting and town hall decks, videos, and live streaming meetings.

Collaborate with business units to track and collate success stories, new announcements and initiatives to bolster colleague engagement, in alignment with Webster’s strategy

Consistently improve communications effectiveness by employing sophisticated use of data and analytics for all directly managed system-wide campaigns, staying informed on functional best practice and innovation.

Project Management & Consulting

Responsible for project management and driving results

Work closely with key corporate cross-functional partners to assist in defining overall communications needs, initiatives and activities; Advise on channel selection and frequency for various internal communications channels

Track metrics to measure the effectiveness of our communications and channels

Align with our Marketing team to ensure branding and messaging is consistent across the organization.

Perform related duties as required.

       Ensure compliance with all regulations, policies, and procedures.

 

EXPERIENCE

5+ years of relevant professional communications experience.

 

SPECIFIC JOB RELATED EDUCATION & SKILLS

Education:

 

Candidates with advanced degrees (Associates, Bachelor’s, and/or Master’s) preferred, yet a High School diploma or GED is required.  Candidates with some combination of coursework and experience, or else extensive related professional experience, are eligible for consideration.

 

Specific Skills:

  • Superior communications skills, both written and verbal, to effectively address all levels within the organization and engage colleagues
  • Demonstrated versatility: self-starter with attention to detail and demonstrated ability to think critically, and an ability to multitask and change direction when the need arises, in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
  • Tech savvy and internal web portal experience, highly desirable
  • Ability to create engaging content and assets for the intranet, Yammer, e-mail, etc.
  • Hands-on experience with creating and uploading intranet content
  • Desire to learn new things and take the initiative to implement
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to build relationships and effectively connect with others; an approachable demeanor
  • Strong collaboration and team working skills; experience working with all levels of management and the ability to work with cross functional teams
  • Extensive practical knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.

The estimated salary range for this position is $90,000 to $110,00 USD annually. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
