The Manager, Post Closing Assurance/Collateral is responsible for the determination of requirements, review and completion of all due diligence associated with the post-closing of commercial loans and subsequent document follow-up to present a completed loan file as perfected and ready for imaging.  Ensures that the documents requested comply with bank policy and that document packages are complete to minimize the risk of loss to the bank.  Establishes and documents procedures and trains to them.  Manages the documentation exception process including reporting.




  • Performs post- closing review of loan closing packages. Verifies all documentation necessary for loan type and for collateral conformity necessary to protect the Bank’s Security Interest is complete and in order. Validates closer applied prudent closing practices and administration protocols for loan and collateral type.  Performs secondary review of Compliance requirements and flags (Flood, Insurance, Tax Servicing). 
  • Supervises, performs annual performance assessments, trains and coaches team.  Creates and Documents procedures related to the roles and responsibilities of the team.
  • Monitors, track and coordinates discrepancies relating to loans reviewed. Record, monitor and report deficiencies and required remedies, including steps taken to resolve the issue.  Monitor and maintain the loan collateral ticklers for pending commercial and commercial real estate loan collateral perfection items.   Follows and receives trailing documents, ensures they are in compliance.  Establishes a sound practice for delivery of all collateral to safe keeping.  Verifies documents are receipted and imaged.
  • Manages and maintains pledged collateral. Including, but not limited to: Mv901 Filing and releases; Life Insurance Policies pledged as collateral, with annual certifications of policy pledged.  Verifies releases of Collateral for paid loans following evidence of payoff and authorization to release.  Manages UCC Filings.  New, amendments, continuations and terminations.  Includes Historical filings, address changes, timely renewals and terminations.  Validates priority position after filing.  Reviews periodic alerts from vendor of changes in entity status.
  • Delivers a comprehensive report of collateral exceptions to management on a monthly basis. Works with appropriate closing and/or lending staff to clarify/correct identified issues and/or discrepancies.
  • Ensure deficiencies are accurately resolved and documentation is received within established deadlines.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulations, policies, and procedures.




  • 3-5 Years of Experience Post-Closing Quality/ Assurance or prior experience closing and interpreting Commercial and CRE Loan Closing Documentation, preferred
  • 2+ Years of Revised Article 9 UCC Filing Process, preferred
  • 2+ Years of manager and or overseeing work for a department, required




  • Candidates with advanced degrees (Associates, Bachelor’s, and/or Master’s) preferred, yet a High School diploma or GED is required. Candidates with some combination of coursework and experience, or else extensive related professional experience, are eligible for consideration
