I. POSITION SUMMARY
Effectively manage multiple teams of IT professionals (project leaders, analysts, developers, etc.) and drive the teams toward producing value added results. Direct department and administer resources to ensure applications analysis/program efforts and support activities are successful.
 
Responsible for the project execution and support of our Online Banking tools including Websterbank.com (public & Private) and our Mobile solution. Will lead a team of 2 direct reports with a full team size of ~10 employees.
 
II. MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Approve design, technical, and/or operational specifications developed by subordinates
  2. Oversee the delivery of designs and programs for new and existing products; keep current on best practices in technology and market trends.
  3. Partner with our Digital Marketing function on the execution of our strategic roadmap.
  4. Manage key vendor partners to drive requested solutions and operational excellence around customer support.
  5. Define work goals and establish departmental priorities and expectations.
  6. Prepare and manage annual department budget
  7. Ready new designs and programs for deployment.
  8. Approve design alternatives brought forth by subordinates.
  9. Identify and initiate work process and tool improvements that lead to increased productivity.
  10. Structure team appropriately for Agile iterative execution.
  11. Liaise with senior management and provide reports/updates related to department performance as requested
III. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
  • Bachelor's Degree in directly related field required; advanced degree strongly preferred.
  • 10+ years of complex software development experience, at least 5 of which were in a supervisory capacity.
  • Specific IT development or project execution experience with Digital tools.
  • Extensive knowledge of system development life cycle, client area's functions, and systems and applications program development alternatives.
  • Extensive knowledge & execution experience in Agile Methodology.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, management, and analytical skills.
  • Able to build successful relationships with all levels of staff and management.
