Responsibilities:
- Drives consistency and accountability across the credit process by managing a pipeline of commercial credit requests across the loan stages for numerous clients, simultaneously
- Acts as the primary internal owner of a credit request to ensure a timely and high-quality closing is achieved, tracking application status, following up on missing information, proactively solving problems, and collaborating with cross functional teams
- Serves as liaison to Business Credit Center and Operations in gathering and uploading all required documentation from prospective borrowers
- Serves as a primary point-of-contact for both internal loan-related inquiries on issues concerning status of and/or problems arising throughout the loan approval and closing process
- Helps facilitate loan preparation and ensure key documents are collected and uploaded into the Loan Origination System
- Coordinates preparation of all necessary loan documentation and ensures accuracy for deal closing and scheduling activities
- Coordinates correspondence, both verbal and written, amongst clients, Relationship Managers, Middle & Back Office operations, and Counsel, as necessary
Experience/ Education/Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in Credit, Lending, or Bank Operations
- Bachelor’s Degree required (preferably in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics)
- Strong knowledge of required loan documentation for business / commercial loans
- Experience with Loan Origination Systems and back-end systems
- Excellent communication and organizational skills with proven ability to multi-task
- Comfortable speaking with clients and external parties
- Ability to build relationships and work with teams across various functions of the bank
- Ability to work independently and proactively to address emerging process issues
Preferred Experience:
- Prior experience across the end-to-end commercial lending process and procedures in Credit, Portfolio Management, Closing, Sales Support, or Bank Operations preferred
- Experience with Small Business, Business Banking, SBA and CRE loan types preferred
- Experience structuring loans, calculating pricing, and interpreting programs
- Experience with due diligence activities including title analysis, lien searches and 3rd party reporting
- Knowledge of applicable lending compliance laws and regulations
The estimated salary range for this position is $85,000 to $100,000. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
