Investor Relations Analyst is actively involved in message development and primarily responsible for coordinating investor calls and meetings, creating investor presentation materials, supporting earnings conference calls, preparing board reports, and handling other related materials. The IR Analyst will research and track Webster Financials' and peers’ financial and stock performance, as well as industry trends and events.
Job Responsibilities:
Support executive staff in preparing for earnings releases and creating earnings call communications.
Collaborate across the organization to analyze data and prepare Investor Relations deliverables, such as investor presentation materials, board materials, and internal consensus estimates.
Build relationships with various departments and the marketing communications team to streamline and enhance the company’s strategic communication efforts.
Maintain databases detailing the performance of Webster’s business, its stock, and investor interactions.
Oversee logistics for investor meetings, including creating presentation materials, coordinating with internal and external event facilitators, and managing travel and meeting schedules.
Key contributor to assist developing a comprehensive shareholder targeting strategy, including identification of potential institutional investors and maintain effective shareholder outreach.
Ensure that Investor Relations documents are regularly updated and work with internal experts to ensure messaging consistency.
Education, Experience and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Math, Economics or Accounting.
2 years of experience in financial industry, knowledge of banking industry.
Possess strong financial modeling skills, excellent analytical abilities, and communication skills for presenting to executives and department leads.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
Professional demeanor, integrity, and discretion.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear and compelling messages.
Willing to travel for investor conferences, meetings, and other events.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with Bloomberg, S&P Market Intelligence, FactSet or other market data tools preferred.
The estimated base salary range for this position is $85,000 USD to $110,000 USD. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.2
