As a Director, Segmentation Strategist, you will interact with business leaders and influence cross-functional teams to advocate for the operationalization of segment growth strategies for the Consumer Bank, supporting strategic plans. In this position, you will design value propositions and actively manage a roadmap composed of business priorities that you will independently define and present to business partners.
You will work collegially with colleagues to prioritize resources that will deliver segment growth strategies. A Segmentation Strategist is required to stay apprised of changing client and industry dynamics through independent research. This individual will be responsible for conducting discovery and analysis of target operating models and be a key collaborator in working with cross functional teams.
- Drive growth and profitability by independently developing strategic roadmaps that will enable sustained business development, long-term revenue growth, and improved client retention which support and align with the bank’s long range planning objectives.
- Indirectly influence partners to prioritize, design, and deploy strategic projects that deliver against the segment/channel roadmap.
- Act as a strategic thought leader to others and make decisions that shape client engagement strategies to drive growth.
- You will also be expected to partner with others to clarify project objectives, set timetables and schedules, conduct research, develop and organize information and fulfill transactions. Manage client expectations by communicating project status and issues, resolving concerns, analyzing time and cost issues and prepare reports.
- Inform strategic discussions with research and data including the visualization of data to test hypotheses.
- Serve as a connection across cross-functional teams to advocate for the needs of the segment/channel and facilitate collaboration toward achieving common goals and outcomes. Partner with others to include enterprise or other lines of businesses’ goals into the roadmap.
- Keep yourself and others accountable toward delivering strategic initiatives by methodically presenting ideas and strategies, outlining solution options alongside their implications, and memorializing agreements.
- Independently manage a portfolio of strategic roadmap projects.
Key responsibilities for the role:
- Advanced degree or equivalent - Bachelors, Masters - preferred.
- Build consensus, create accountability, and influence resources
- Strong analytical skills enabling you to define growth strategies, make recommendations and present findings.
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills a must
- Expert practitioner in client-centered design and can demonstrate success in bringing value propositions to market
- Digitally savvy and willing to keep pace with innovation
- Proven verbal and written communication skills in order to articulate complex concepts clearly and persuasively to senior audiences; sharp presentation skills
- Collaborative and inclusive team player, who can build relationships and enduring connections across a large geographical dispersed organization
The estimated salary range for this position is $143,600 USD to $182,000 USD. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
