Leads the design, development and administration of Commercial incentive compensation plans for Commercial Banking including core sales plans and specialty business plans. Manages the formulation and administration ensuring plans are market driven and aligned to business objectives.  Ensure plans remain aligned to current market trends through use of benchmarking and external data while aligned to business outcomes and strategic objectives.  Partners with business management. Staff may consist of compensation consultants or compensation analysts.




  • Oversee formulation, management, design and administration of Commercial Banking compensation plans and programs including base pay and variable pay. 
  • Manage the administration of Commercial sales compensation programs including base pay, short- and long-term incentive, stock, and perquisites.
  • Work in concert with President, Commercial Banking and SVP Commercial Strategy & Administration to ensure plans are market driven and aligned to Commercial strategies and desired business outcomes. 
  • Works closely with sales leaders, Strategy & Analytics team, and Corporate Compensation team to ensure efficient processes are in effect with appropriate controls and oversight.
  • Works in close partnership with FP&A team on financial planning for incentive compensation.


Educations, Experience & Skills:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Accounting or other related field required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of progressively responsible experience in incentive compensation or other relevant analytical work.
  • Effective leadership skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of laws and regulations affecting compensation practices and policies.
