The Desktop Systems Administrator will design, maintain, and optimize the master desktop image used across our enterprise. This role ensures a secure, efficient, and standardized desktop environment by developing and managing images, automating deployment, integrating essential applications, and configuring security baselines. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in enterprise image management, configuration management, and endpoint security.
Key responsibilities for the role:
- Able to troubleshoot a large variety of technical issues.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a problem-solving attitude.
- Compiles and analyzes metrics and prepares status reports and graphical reporting aids.
- Proactively seek and communicate opportunities for improvement in both the operational and customer satisfaction aspects of the client service function.
- Develop and maintain gold images for Windows desktops.
- Implement security best practices, patches, and compliance requirements.
- Manage integrations with core applications, configuration baselines, and drivers.
- Manage Intune configurations, including, autopilot ESP, deployment profiles, and configuration profiles.
- Maintain clear documentation of processes and configurations.
Key skills/experience qualifications for the role:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Advanced degree - Associates, Bachelors, Masters, etc. - preferred.
- 5+ years related experience required in technical support and customer service.
- Strong communication skills and exceptional customer service orientation
- Knowledge and experience with a variety of desktop operating systems, including Windows and macOS
- Experience with a wide range of enterprise desktop and application management
- Experienced in supporting standard enterprise applications
- Solid understanding of network principles required to assist with troubleshooting of network issues
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse groups in a team
- Demonstrable leadership experience and skills with the ability to foster an effective work environment that encourages teamwork and employee growth.
- Effective communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, independent problem-solving and decision-making, self-direction, and ability to manage a complex workload.
- Demonstrable track record of success in managing relationships.
- Demonstrable ability to maintain a team-oriented, professional, and cooperative attitude at all times.
- Experienced in Microsoft Intune, specifically around managing end user compute devices.
The estimated salary range for this position is $100,000.00 to $130,000.00. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
