SUMMARY:
This position is fundamental to conducting credit analyses on an expanding and increasingly more complex set of vendor exposures as well as counterparty and treasury investment exposures. Primary responsibilities include annual reviews of existing exposures, credit approval documents for new credit requests, onoing monitoring of risks in the portfolio and comprehensive quarterly reporting. The position reports to the Senior Credit Executive - Treasury & Counterparty.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
  • Conduct financial stability assessment of key vendors comprised of a diverse population including large publicly traded companies and small privately held concerns in many different industries. Assessment includes spreading several years of financial statements, assigning a risk grade based on financial metrics, and writing an overview of the business and its financial performance, identifying any risk issues.
  • Conduct annual analyses of Counterparty and Treasury investment credit risks. Primary portfolio management responsibilities in this area include the review of banks and insurance companies, but could also include other types of exposure.
  • Prepare Credit Approval Documents for new activity/business credit requests.
  • Continuously monitor the portfolio by providing ongoing surveillance of exposures in the portfolio including monitoring of relevant news stories, rating changes and/or other industry developments. Send status updates to Senior Credit Execuive - Treasury & Counterparty as deemed necessary.
  • Assist Senior Credit Executive - Treasury & Counterparty with quarterly reporting.
 
REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
*Bachelors degree required in Finance, Economics or Accounting
*Advanced degree preferred
*Completion of formal credit training program is desired
Experience:
*1-4 years of experience in related field
Job Skills/Knowledge:
*Technically proficient with Microsoft Excel,PowerPoint and Word
*Good written and verbal communication skills
*Critical thinking skills and intellectual curiosity
*Superb analytical, organizational, communication and project management skills
*Ability to multi-task and prioritize while working in a fast-paced environment
*Ability to work with associates at various levels
