Jo Description:
The Associate - Portfolio Mgmt BCC role will be an individual contributor supporting the SBA Processing team in the Business Credit Center. The team’s primary purpose is to coordinate loan applications for Small Business Administration (SBA) guaranteed loans through the credit approval and closing processes, and serve as liaisons between Lines of Business, Underwriters, Closing, and Operations. The Associate role will be relied upon to handle routine, administrative tasks which drive consistency and accountability across the credit process by ensuring SBA loans are closed and funded in accordance with the SBA Standard Operating Procedures and other government regulations
Responsibilities:
Perform routine administrative tasks to support consistency and accountability across the credit process for SBA loan applications
Support the Business Credit Center pipeline of SBA loan requests throughout all stages of the process with responsibility for specific tasks and process steps
Assist the Director of SBA Loan Processing with due diligence and periodic reviews of file documentation to ensure all requirements for perfecting an SBA guaranty have been met
Assist with report preparation, SBA and internal audit responses and other administrative duties as required.
Provide general team support for the SBA Analysts and Managers, as needed
Experience Requirements:
1-3 years of Banking experience
High School Diploma
Strong communication and organizational skills with ability to multi-task
Comfortable in fast-paced and continuously improving environments
Ability to build relationships and work with teams across various functions of the bank
Ability to work independently and on a team of independent contributors
Preferred Experience :
Bachelor’s Degree preferred (Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics)
Awareness of SBA lending programs including 7(a), Express, 504, and Export lines of credit
Experience with Loan Origination Systems and the SBA E-Tran system
Familiarity with the SBA Standard Operating Procedures
Experience with small business lending or commercial loan processing
Knowledge of applicable lending laws and regulations
Knowledge of Microsoft Suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint
The estimated salary range for this position is $46,800USD to $57,200USD. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
