A key member of our Infrastructure Engineering team primarily responsible for installing, configuring, and supporting network infrastructure hardware and operating systems. Consistently strives to ensure a high level of security and performance. Also responsible for working with vendors, business lines and IT colleagues to ensure that all network systems have maximum uptime, providing fast and reliable connections for employees to get their work done promptly.
Job responsibilities
Apply a strong understanding of networking concepts: Including TCP/IP, subnetting, routing, switching, and network security - to design, implement, and maintain secure and efficient network infrastructures.
Work with routers, switches, firewalls, and other network hardware and monitoring tools
Troubleshoot and problem-solve to diagnose and resolve connectivity issues
Collaborate and communicate effectively with other IT professionals and stakeholders
Use a general understanding of AWS & Azure components and related connectivity domains to complete work.
Independently support service delivery operations and service request processing
Lead and support on site and remote technical troubleshooting activities and issue remediation
Work with Service Desk, Service Design, Applications, Security and other teams to identify and resolve escalations and outages
Troubleshoot issues and incidents with various IT teams and internal business colleagues to a timely resolution
Regularly communicate with other IT lines regarding scheduled IT activities and maintenance
Oversee small project logistics and resource allocations
Maintains a high level of proficiency in inventory tracking, system administration and documentation.
Manage third party IT service provider relationships with Telco’s and hardware vendors, etc.
Analyze data and identify trends, patterns and design opportunities for improvement
Experience needed for the role
Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience
Experience with leading technical deployments and projects
Experience with data networking, ticketing, inventory, monitoring systems and related applications
Strong technical and analytical aptitude
Ability to multitask and remain detail oriented
Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
Organized an able to create high-quality auditable documentation
The estimated salary range for this position is $70,000USD to $90,000USD. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
