The Analyst, Corporate Accounting plays a crucial role in ensuring a precise and comprehensive general ledger close process.
This position demands proficiency in industry-specific accounting practices, sharp analytical skills, and a commitment to operational excellence. Responsibilities include:
Supervising activities to guarantee accuracy in the general ledger close.
Assisting in general accounting operations by executing month-end close procedures and validating financial transactions.
Conducting accounting and reporting tasks with minimal supervision.
Monitoring and analyzing general ledger accounts, financial statements, and reports.
Applying industry-specific accounting principles, advanced computer skills, and a deep understanding of the company's operations and administrative systems.
Demonstrating a proactive attitude towards learning, development, and enhancing continuous process improvement initiatives.
Preparation and reconciliation of general ledger accounts including accruals, prepaids, eliminations, DDA and intercompany accounts
Complete assigned account reconciliations in a timely and accurate manner
Prepare accurate, well-documented journal entries; verify account balances and ensure proper accounting classifications
Preparation of internal financial statements
Ensure all financial reports and disclosures are compliant with regulatory requirements, professional standards, and internal policies and procedures
Conduct basic financial variance analyses to support decision-making
Contribute to process improvement initiatives aimed at increasing efficiency and accuracy
Support management with ad hoc reporting and in-depth financial analysis as needed
Education, Experience and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent combination or education and work experience
1-4 years accounting experience in public accounting of financial services industry preferred
Strong analytical skills and decision-making abilities
Ability to handle multiple priorities
Excellent communication, organization and problem-solving skills required
Must be a flexible, independent team player with a positive attitude and willingness to step-in and provide support as needed
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word,
The estimated base salary range for this position is $ 70,000 USD to $ 85,000 USD. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
